LITTLETON, CO --- Looking to learn how to preserve fall produce? Wanting to know how to take the stress out of preparing Thanksgiving turkey? Hoping to get a head start on holiday gifts? You’re in luck. Arapahoe County CSU Extension is offering a series of extension enlightens workshops throughout the fall on a variety of topics.
Scheduled Extension Enlightens Fall Series workshops include:
Oct. 4: Making and Canning Applesauce and Apple Butter
Nov. 9: Making and Canning Cranberry Sauce
Nov. 15: The Perfect Turkey
Dec. 6: Making Jarred Food Mixes - Perfect Holiday Gifts
Arapahoe County Extension Family Consumer Science Agent Sheila Gains will host these educational workshops on food preservation and preparation of fall and holiday favorites.
All workshops will be offered at two convenient times, noon – 1 p.m. and 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. The same content will be presented at each time. Workshops will be held at the Arapahoe County CSU Extension office, 6934 S. Lima St., Suite B, Centennial, 80112.
Attendees must register online at least two days before the selected workshop. There is a $5 non-refundable fee. All workshops include handouts with tips, instructions and recipes.
