Backyard chicken and bee keeping

On March 5, the Planning Commission recommended approval of new regulations to allow backyard bee and chicken keeping. This recommendation now goes to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration during their April 2 regular meeting  This is the final stage of a three-year public outreach process to develop regulations that balance the interests of all County residents. If adopted, these rules would apply to residential homes within unincorporated areas of the County. Learn more about the proposal here.
